Background of Gomaya Revolution :-
As civilization grew, population increased, people migrated from villages to towns for employment, hence the dependence on cows for agriculture decreased, hence the commercialization of milk due to the craze for foreign cows, hence the use of chemical fertilizers in agriculture, the fertility of the land decreased greatly. Considering all the above factors, how our sages, kings and elders used to live a healthy life. The main reason for their healthy life is cow-based agriculture. We have taken up an important program called Gomaya Revolution with the objective of restoring cow-based agriculture through our Lekhana Goshala to stop commercialization of milk dependent on cows, & aims to restore cow-based agriculture.
Objectives of Gomaya Revolution :-
- Rearing of large number of desi cows and collecting cow dung and cow urine.
- Reserve 80 percent cow dung and cow urine for agriculture.
- The remaining 20 percent cow dung and cow urine can be used to prepare value-added products, offset the cost of rearing desi cows and end dependence on milk for income.
